1. After several students have expressed their frustration with having to check this blog in addition to google classroom and canvas for all their daily assignments... I have decided to move over to Google Classroom for VAT. I have invited you all to the google classroom, so you should be able to get on it in your email.

Tuesday: Art Challenge

1. Fill out the survey for attendance. 

2. Art Challenge: Due Thursday
a. Curate a small to medium sized collection of meaningful items  

b. strategically organize them on a background near a window. 

c. Shoot some photos of the objects from directly above. (This is called a Flat-Lay. Here is a video about it):

3. Insert your best Flat-Lay photo into this google slideshow . Don't forget to add your name to the slide so that you get credit for your work.

Thursday: Lil' Art Challenge: Art Recreation

1. Join in on the viral art trend that is blowing up on social media. Getty Museum challenges us to recreate famous artworks with household objects(people). Check out the link to see Getty Museum's Twitter feed for many examples of this challenge. 

2. Pick out your favorite work of art. Well known artwork works the best so google famous works of art or Check out the link to see many famous artworks at The Metropolitan Museum of New York. Be sure to write down the artist's name who made the original artwork and jot down the name of the artwork too.

3. Recreate the artwork with some objects from around the house and take some photos on your phone. We will share the photos together tomorrow (Friday April 3rd).

4. Be sure to complete the "check in" survey for today's attendance.
